Returning.
I have not written anything on the Diamond Brand Blog for a minute. Oh GAWD. Why have I neglected my only CHILD????????????
I tried to make a real D.B. website but it just withered in hyperspace because I don't know shee-at about HTML. So I will return to the platform I know best, BLOGGER- which hasn't changed since like 2002. Thus, I can use it.
I feel NOSTALGIC today. In a bad way. In the TAKE ME BACK TO WHEN I WAS 17 WAY. So dangerous. Why? Because then you have to listen to Bruce Springsteen's "Glory Days" and actually feel like these days "passed you by"
Some kind of feathery bullshit that all is. Missing your youth. I mean, I'm 22. I'm at the breaking point of being able to pretend like I am a child. Most people think I'm 30 anyhow.
Some parts of growing up are nice. For example: I have a sewing machine in front of me and all the mugs in my house were hand chosen to my aesthetic specifications. Also all the lamps.
Today, I want to be a mermaid in a timewarp. I want to swim onto the shores of my memories and watch for any details I missed. What was being sold in the midnight gas station shelves in Kansas? How many times did the dingy girl use the bathroom on the Greyhound bus? What colors were the head scarves of the women swimming fully dressed in the Mediterranean sea on the Turkish coast?
I have a lot these days. So much that when I move I'll need a u-haul and a thousand journals to keep to uproot and archive myself.
Diamond Brand teaches me that the entrepreneurial spirit lives within and any dreams I am chasing are to further the cause of Diamond Glory.
